SRI Central Office Manager Application
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years current continuous sobriety and active membership in A.A.
- A good working knowledge of The 12 Traditions.
- Be well organized with a good knowledge of general office procedures.
- Bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
- Work full time, 40 hours, Mon. through Fri. Plus the 1st and 2nd Tue. Eve monthly.
- Enjoy working with people: cordial and helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Quickbooks.
- Honesty, open-mindedness, willingness.
Desirable
- Small business/non-profit bookkeeping and accounting.
- A good working knowledge of local tradition plus both The 12 Concepts and the A.A. Service Structure.
- Expertise in Excel
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Central Office operations.
- Train and supervise office volunteers and staff.
- Layout and production management for valleywide meeting list.
- Financial management: remittances, bookkeeping and accounting.
- Respond to inquiries (not always pleasant) in person, by phone and email.
- Prepare materials for the two monthly business meetings.
- Cooperate with other A.A. service entities and our friends outside.
- Ensure the anonymity and privacy of A.A. member data in lists/databases.
- Assist and cooperate with Service Committees, including special events, website, newsletter, after-hours coordinator, etc…
- Maintain
a. Files of business records. e. Store inventory.
b. Accurate books for finances . f. Databases and lists for operations.
c. Data accuracy. g. Central Office physical plant and supplies.
